DESCRIPTION: Vacheron & Constantin, Geneva, Switzerland, man's pocket watch, examined and retailed by Dent, London, 15 jewels, stem wind, pin set, gilt bar movement with counterpoised lever escapement, cut bimetallic Guillaume style balance, gold timing screws, detachable safety finger and wolf's tooth winding, bottom plate signed "Vacheron & Constantin" under the dial, in an 18 karat, yellow gold, demi hunting case with retailers details engraved on gold cuvette, the inside of case back with maltese cross mark, and Roman numeral, single sunk, white enamel dial, blued steel spade and poker hands, serial #262533, c1900.
CONDITION: CASE: A few tiny dents; Minor dings and pin pricks; Minor scratches on outer surface of case; Fine scratches on inner surface of case; Crown worn; Chapter ring on case front with minor losses to enamel; Precious metal content marked. DIAL: Minor scratches, otherwise very good. HANDS: Minor oxidation, tip of minute. MOVEMENT PLATES: Minor scratches on plate; Minor scratches on winding wheel; Bridge screws reblued. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks).
